4D Phase-Contrast MRI

4D Phase-Contrast non-invasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) offers the possibility to simultaneously acquire the morphology and spatially co-registered hemodynamic information non-invasively. The purpose of this research line is to visualize and determinate the 3D blood flow patterns in the aorta obtained by 4D MRI PC and to use it as boundary condition for the computational fluiddynamics (CFD) in order to obtain other relevant parameters, as shear stress over the arterial wall.
